Richard F. Gioia
Richard has been around local businesses his entire life. He grew up in factories, working at many of the local businesses his family owned and operated. Richard honed his management and operation skills through years of corporate law experience and serving as the Chief Executive Officer of one of Lorraine’s first companies. In addition to Lorraine, Richard sits on the Board of Directors for the Bullfinch Fund, a publicly-traded mutual fund (NASDAQ: BWNYX) that is focused on companies with an important economic presence in Western New York. Richard earned a B.A. from George Washington University, a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester, Simon School of Business.
William J. Maggio
William (“Bill”) is an experienced, accomplished executive. Bill has spent his life building and growing companies, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Over the past 10 years, Bill has acquired, operated and exited a number of life science-based companies, including Immco Diagnostics, Nova Century Scientific, Inc., Oma Pathology Labs, LLC, and Unilab, Inc. Bill has also held senior level business development and operational positions at Boehringer Mannheim, Roche, and Bureau Veritas. Bill is committed to Western New York and is engaged in a number of social, charitable and community organizations, including the University at Buffalo Foundation Board of Trustees, Canisius College, the University at Buffalo Center for Advanced Biomedical and Bioengineering Technology, the West Side Rowing Club, MedTech, and the Jacobs Institute, and the Burchfield Penny Art Center.
Justin M. Reich
Justin is an entrepreneur with interests in several operating businesses. In addition to being a Partner at Lorraine Capital, he is the President and CEO of APX Energy, LLC, an oil and gas company operating in Illinois, Indiana and Texas. He is also part owner of a wealth advisory business in Cleveland, OH that manages over $700 million in assets. Justin has been an active investor in real estate with multiple projects in Western New York and also serves on The Kaleida Health Foundation Board of Directors. He has a J.D./M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University.
C. Anthony Rider
Tony is a CPA, with over 40 years’ experience working with entrepreneurial companies as advisor, investor, senior executive and board member. In addition to being a Partner at Lorraine, Tony is CFO of Locke Acquisition Group, LLC which annually sources hundreds of millions of transactions for Amherst NY based Sovran Self Storage, Inc. (NYSE:SSS). Tony has extensive experience in business valuation and capital structures having been actively involved in transactions in all sectors of the equity and debt markets totaling over $10 billion. Tony has a B.S. degree in accounting from Canisius College.
